The group was founded in 1941 and is headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut. The Robert E. Morris Company was the founding member of Okuma distribution in America.

Morris Midwest is the official distributor for OKUMA and Tsugami products in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Northern Illinois.
