The new Tsugami SS 32 offers 32 mm capacity.  Like its predecessor, the SS20, the SS32 also offers users a unique modular tool zone, increased capability over previous gang type models, and a roomier tool zone for easier setup.     

Tool modularity is a leading edge strategy with new Swiss technology. As shorter runs pervade, machine operators need to change part runs quickly. Sometimes the parts are vastly different from each other, requiring completely different tool setups. The SS-32’s standard main spindle configuration includes seven turning tools, five cross rotary tools, and five ID tools, while the standard sub spindle setup includes four ID stations, two face drills and two cross rotary tools.  Quick changes to the configuration of main and sub spindle cross rotary, ID, and turning tools can be made, allowing for efficient machining of a greater variety of parts. Thread whirling, polygon turning and angular face drilling operations are possible with an adjustable face tool attachment.     

In addition to these attributes, the SS 32 comes with CAD/CAM software, which makes it easy to set up and operate.

The Tsugami MB38-SY is a high precision CNC bar machine with 4 to 6 axis id/od turning capability and multiple driven cross and face working tools.  Spindles speeds up to 6,000 on both the main and sub spindle. Tool mounting arrangement provides 0.2 second tool indexing.
